Appointment Information (FAQ)
How can I make an appointment to see our cardiologists?
Appointments are made through a referral from a general practitioner or another specialist. Once the referral is received one of our office assistants will contact you or your family physician office with an appointment date and time, as well as instructions regarding the appointment.
How long are the appointments?
In general, new consultations will be 45 minutes (15 minutes registration/questionnaire, 30 minutes with MD). Follow-up appointments are 15 minutes. Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment. Our cardiologists make every effort to stay on time. Your wait will rarely exceed more than 5 minutes on majority of the visits.
What should I bring to the appointment?
COVID updated guidelines for office appointments
It’s mandatory to wear a face mask prior to entering our office. Upon entering, sanitize your hands and stand behind the green line to confirm your arrival. If you are ill, DO NOT COME TO OUR OFFICE. Please bring a list of all your medications that you are currently taking to your appointment and your MSP Care Card. Prepare a list of questions you may want to ask during your appointment. Please limit to 1 family member or friend to accommodate your appointment to limit exposure to staff and patients during this pandemic.
What do I do if I have to cancel my appointment?
To cancel your appointment please call the office number at 604-492-0280 and dial extension 1 if you’re a patient of Dr. Leung or extension 2 if you’re a patient of Dr. Bhan. We ask you to call 48 hours before your appointment date to cancel so that we can rebook your appointment.
What do I do if I am experiencing a medical emergency?
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency room.
